Plastic chess pieces / chessmen, Dubrovnik Style

This set was designed and made for the 1950 chess Olympiad in Dubrovnik (Yugoslavia), the idea being of removing religious symbols (king's cross & bishop's miter).

World champion Bobby Fischer bought a Dubrovnik set in 1970 and later proclaimed it his favorite chess set ever. Sadly, his set was later stolen. By his request, the set was shortly reissued in 1992 for the second time and used again in Fischer/Spassky world championship rematch. This is the plastic replica of this Dubrovnik set.

Dimensions (height | width at the bottom):
      King: 7,6 cm / 3,0 cm
      Queen: 6,5 cm | 3,0 cm
      Rook: 4,3 cm | 2,7 cm
      Bishop: 6,5 cm | 3,0 cm
